I welcome students of all ages and levels to my studio in North Cambridge and ask that students bring with them to their lessons openness, playfulness, and a genuine desire to learn.

ABOUT MY TEACHING:

I offer a holistic approach, believing that musicality is developed by an awareness of technique, interpretation and theoretical knowledge. By developing all aspects of musicianship, a person can experience a deeper love and enjoyment of the instrument and develop a deeper ability to share that with an audience.

I am happy to put students through ABRSM or Trinity exams and diplomas and many of my students achieve excellent results. I believe, however, that this is a part of a musician's development and not an end in itself. I am equally happy to work with students who want to explore repertoire and develop their playing free of a mark-based system.
